Happy Thanksgiving
Alrighty... itz thanksgiving weekend and I'm supposed to get a break from work. Didn't reallie go anywhere for this break and wanted to stay home and rest. Not that I reallie rested...
Thurs afternoon was spent in First Congregational Church which has a kitchen for Thanksgiving Dinner prep... So our church seems to go there every year to have our Thanksgiving dinner. Wellz, itz the usual turkey, mashed potato, stuffings, cranberry jello, green bean cassarole, and the $70 honey baked ham. Oh and not to forget the dessert -- we have pecan pie this year, on top of the usual pumpkin pie and apple pie!!! I love pecan pie and dun like the other two so I'm reallie happy with the dinner. =p
Thurs night at 11pm, we set off to Birch Run thinking we will reach there before 12.30am but we end up having to queue a good 2 miles before the exit ramp. We shopped from 1+am till 6am and went for Macs breakfast. Den we went back for more shopping till 8am before we set off for home. The shopping was good though I only got a pair of Levis Jeans for myself (plus the free blue beanie from Columbia). Wellz... I shall not reveal what I bought so that the ppl who will recieve the gifts (ie. gf and nephew -- the 2 ppl I pamper the most now) will not know what they'll get. A bit disappointed with the Nine West outlet though. Didn't find anything worth buying... All the good buys require about 1hr of queuing time each...
Friday I slept almost the whole day away... Doing what minimal work I can squeeze myself to do. I mean the 3 gals in the car got a nice 1hr sleep while poor me-the-only-driver have to stay awake for the whole ride home. One farnie thing is Hongye forgot to bring her HP and wallet for the trip... haha... and shez not afraid that she'll get lost at the outlet... Ultra blur...
Sat I woke up after a 12+hrs sleep and finally recovered enuff to start working on all the hw... the semester is coming to an end soon... Motivation of the day: Roast Duck, Char Siew and Egg Tarts from Chicago thanks to Pearl and Qiongz who delivered it to my place... And the other 3 ppl on tt trip (Gena, Sam, Jon) for bringing the treats back for me... Appreciate it a lot!!! =)
